Vice-President Namadi Sambo on Monday presented the handover notes of President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration to the transition committee of the incoming government, with a promise that members of the outgoing cabinet will make themselves available for clarifications when needed.
Ahmed Joda’s, chairman of the transition committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), received the report on behalf of the incoming administration of Muhammadu Buhari. Sambo said the documents he was handing over contained “properly articulated and printed” activities of the federal government between 2011 and 2015.
He explained that the permanent secretaries of each ministry signed each page to authenticate it, and expressed hope that it would guide the incoming administration in its plans for the development and progress of the country. “I want to add that all of us are always available, after this report between now and May 29, anytime you need to meet with us, we are ready to come and sit and clarify,” he said.
